Why do I need to activate physical (plastic) Gift Cards?

Activating physical cards is a safety step that protects your money. Activation is your proof of purchase and your gift card's electronic backup copy. Card activation securely links the card number on the back of your plastic gift card to your email address. If you lose your plastic gift card, we can look up the information online.

Do gift cards expire?

No. Neither virtual nor physical gift cards expire. From time to time, we may issue or award “rewards”, "promotional gift cards", "credits", "vouchers”, or similar physical or virtual cards. Generally, these promotional cards have the same terms and conditions as any other gift card, however, they may have expiration dates (which will be clearly indicated and printed on the card), delayed activation dates or may be subject to additional restrictions or exemptions as state on the promotion cards themselves or any packaging or other written materials that accompany the promotional cards.

Can I redeem my gift card for cash?

No, gift cards are not redeemable for cash except as required by law.

Can I redeem my card online?

Yes! Blue Lizard® physical (plastic) and virtual (electronic) gift cards, are intended for online purchases. Currently, these gift cards are only redeemable for purchase of Blue Lizard® Australian Sunscreen products from www.bluelizard.net.

Can I check the balance on my gift card?

Yes, once you activate your card, the balance may be obtained by contacting our Customer Loyalty Team. They will ask you for your email address and card number.

What if I don’t know my gift card number?

Your gift card number was mailed to you when you activated your gift card. Simply find this email to obtain your gift card number. If we are not in your address contacts, this mail might be in your spam folder.

Are there any associated fees?

No. None of our Blue Lizard® gift cards assess a service fee for use or for inactivity (sometimes referred to as “dormancy”). Also, there are no activation fees when activating the gift card or when you use your card.

If my gift card is lost or stolen, can it be replaced?

Physical (plastic) gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen so treat your gift card like cash. The good news is that we sent you an email when you activated your card. Remember to keep a copy of your activation email safely stored. This email is just as good as the real card and is all you need to redeem the gift card for purchase.

If a gift card is lost or stolen, before it was activated, can it be replaced?

No. If you lose your physical gift card before it has been activated there is no way to know the actual card number or to verify proof of purchase (activation is "proof of purchase").
